NASCAR Drivers Hit the South Point Bowling Alley for Speedway Children’s Charity in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV – The desire to be the best and beat the best on the race track is what drives the competitors in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCTS) week-in and week-out. But the competition to bring home the trophy is just as fierce off the track.
At 10:00 PM Thursday night, numerous NCTS drivers, teams and even NASCAR officials will go head-to-head in the “Burn-Out, Bowl-Off” charity bowling tournament hosted by the South Point Hotel & Casino at the South Point Bowling Center to benefit Speedway Children’s Charities. Fans are encouraged to come out and meet their favorite drivers. A $10 donation to the charity will get fans a free ticket to Saturday night’s NCTS race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Todd Bodine, driver of the No. 30 Toyota, said, “The South Point is an awesome facility and it is a great home away from home for not only me, but for all of the NASCAR Camping World Truck teams. Mr. Gaughan has always welcomed us with open arms, and we all have a great time there. This is the third year of the bowling tournament, and it is something that I have enjoyed being a part of each year. The teams and drivers who come have a great time, and I know the fans have fun, too. The tournament has been a hit with the truck series, and it has been a success in supporting one of Mr. Gaughan’s favorite charities – Speedway Children’s Charities. We hope that this week’s event will be bigger and better than ever.”
The “Burn-Out, Bowl-Off” will start at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night. Five member teams from various NCTS organizations will compete for the top score in two games. Fans are encouraged to come out and support their favorite drivers and teams.
Drivers tentatively scheduled to attend: Jason White, Ron Hornaday, Todd Bodine, Timothy Peters, Matt Crafton, TJ Bell and many more.
