South Point Hotel & Casino Breaks Ground on Expansion

LAS VEGAS, NV – Michael Gaughan’s South Point Hotel and Casino at Las Vegas Boulevard and Silverado Ranch, is the new locals’ favorite casino.

Construction began last week on the third tower of the property and an additional casino extension. This $95 million expansion will be 25 stories tall and include an additional 830 guest rooms and suites. Two restaurants with a connecting bar, two casino bars, and approximately 10,000 square feet of additional conference space will also be included in this project.

The restaurants that will be included in the expansion are the ever popular Baja Miguel’s. It will offer an array of traditional Mexican favorites and the new Primarily Prime Rib with the classic varieties of Prime Rib that Mr. Gaughan is famous for offering. The connecting bar will specialize in Margaritas and Daiquiris, perfect for the hot summer days in Las Vegas.

The South Point will soon be accessible from I-15 at Silverado Ranch. The freeway overpass is scheduled to be complete for access in both directions in late September. This overpass will provide easier access for customers and for the neighboring community.

“The exit will allow customers to access the South Point much easier than they currently can,” Gaughan said. “We have opened our showroom and are adding more exceptional restaurants, which will draw even more people to the property.”

Approaching the property’s second anniversary, business is booming and getting stronger every day. “The South Valley is growing and we are here to welcome our new neighbors.” Gaughan said.
